Do
- Check the life cycle of your product in the product information booklet.
- Call the toll-free number for any query about product take-back or recycling.
- Hand over e-waste only at the brand’s designated collection centre.
- Make sure you earn the incentive from the brand for handing e-waste over correctly.
- Accumulate unused electronic and electrical items for the brand or a registered recycler.
- Acknowledge buy-back and exchange programmes offered by the brand.
- Drop replaced scrap parts into the e-waste box at the service centre.
- Recognise that each of us has an individual responsibility to conserve the environment.
Don’t
- Throw electronics or batteries into a general garbage bin.
- Sell e-waste to scrap dealers or unauthorised agents for a little cash.
- Dispose of e-waste in landfill or in pits - it is a burden on the next generation.
- Open unused electronics without expert supervision; it can be hazardous.
- Cut open parts or components without a brand representative’s supervision.
